Oh its getting chilli............

So as the weather gets chilli why not make some chilli, its Deliciously warming and takes no time at all to cook, even better if you have a slow cooker (any number of meals can be cooked in those but that's for another day)

The more beans the better i use to use more meat than beans and for some reason this time i added in tomatoes (haven't a glue why cos i haven't before lol)

I did start this chilli of in a pan on the stove, the beef is much better if its browned and seasoned first,

I used uncle bens chilli mix it has a really smokey flavour, Jamie Oliver's Chilli recipes are really ones i would recommend have a look at. A lil smoked paprika will give you a nice smokey taste and not so hot either.

I started of browning the mince, i use lean mince but you can use whatever beef you like, i seen Jamie use dice beef before and its cooked for a long time and just melts away. After mince is browned i add the onions and spices, like paprika and garlic, i let cook for a few minutes then add in the beans i used a mixture of beans, plus the tomatoes that i dont really know why i used it lol and then the uncle bens mix, its a shortcut but it has such an amazing flavour. I used a stock pot in it too knorr stock pot (just make sure if you are cooking with these to stir in well as it has happened to me when serving it was still in a few chunks (note to self)

After everything has hugged each other with flavour i turn it down to a low heat and let it simmer away. The smell is warming around the house.

I planned to have this for my dinner at work for a few days, no such luck, i only managed one day..... Himself and bean also love this meal. (bad luck for me)

After about two hours cooking i transferred it to the slow cooker, (if you haven't already got one go and get one they are not two pricey, they average between €25.00 and €60.00)

The main reason i transferred it is as the slow cooker has a WARM setting on it and himself and bean wasn't eating for a while yet.

if you want to cook this in the slow cooker just after browning meat and adding the onions and seasoning put it into the slow cooker and mix in all the beans and mix and stir, turn onto high or low to meet whatever time you are serving.

i served with rice this time, its also nice with a fresh crusty roll. Or simply on its own. Add your toppings if you like or without, (i do recommend cheese though lol) I was going to have it with a roll and a customer at work said oh no have it with rice, ( thanks Katie McCabe aka Katie Lucid lol 😀😀😁😂.

This for me is the time of year for all these warm dinners, and the slow cooker is a perfect way to cook. So many meals can be made in it........stayed turned 😁😁😁😊😊😊
